Hot off the heels of their movie “Air,” Ben Affleck is set to direct, and Matt Damon will lead the cast of an upcoming thriller for the streaming service titled “Animals.”
The plot is “under wraps,” according to the film’s IMDb page.
But Variety reports that the story of “Animals” will be about kidnapping.
This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated together.
Damon and Affleck co-starred in and co-wrote “Good Will Hunting” in 1997, which went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
The two have since worked together on several projects, including appearing together on-screen in “The Last Duel” in 2021.
Fans can expect a lot more collaborations between the two actors after Damon watched a Beatles documentary by Peter Jackson called “Get Back,” which reminded him of Affleck.
Damon explained:
"At the end, they're playing on the roof in London and it says this is the last time that they ever played together live, and it made me so sad. Because you look at them and they're so happy. Then I called him and I said, 'Look, man, we were talking about doing this and it's like, it's been 25 years or something since "Good Will Hunting," what are we doing?' You know, we both kind of hit the lottery. Why aren't we working together more often?"
